Pfeiffer Awarded First Weekly OAC Field Athlete of the Week Honor

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - For the first time this season and in his career, Baldwin Wallace University sophomore Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week. 

BW hosted its first home meet of the season, the Dr. William Taraschke Team Challenge on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center. Pfeiffer earns the weekly honor after winning the high jump with a meet record height of 6' 7". He is currently ranked first in the OAC after his performance this weekend.

Last week, Pfeiffer won the high jump with a height of 6' 6¾" at the opening meet of the 2023 indoor season at the Otterbein Invitational in the Clements Recreation Center. 

In his career, he had a season-best high jump mark of 6' 5½" last year. His performance this weekend is his career-best mark of 6' 7". 

Outside of field, he is a Jacket Scholar and Dean's List student.

BW returns to the track on Saturday, February 4 when it travels to Angola, Indiana to compete in the Dick Gollnick Invitational, hosted by Trine University in Keith E. Busse inside Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center
