Clark Breaks School Record and Other Earn All-OAC Honors; Men's Indoor Track and Field Finish Sixth at OAC Championships

BEREA, Ohio - Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference hurdler ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park / Berea-Midpark) broke the 55-meter hurdles record as the Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field placed sixth with 46 points at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse. Universtiy of Mount Union won with a total of 243 points. 

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Clark earns his first All-OAC honor, breaks the 21-year-old school record and is crowned the OAC Champion of the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.62 seconds.
  • Freshmen Kaeden Faggs (Marion / Harding) placed fourth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.43 seconds
  • Freshman Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station) finished eighth in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:57.54
  • Junior Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg / Benedictine) placed ninth in the one-mile run in a time of 4:27.40
  • Sophomore Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) finished 12th in the 1,000-meter run in a time of 2:39.46

Field event highlights:

  • Sophomore All-OAC Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) earns his first All-OAC honor as he is crowned the OAC champion of the high jump with a mark of 6'8"
  • Sophomore Kaleu Tellas (Indianapolis, Ind. / International School of Indiana) finished seventh in the shot put with a mark of 46' 3½".
  • Freshman Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station / Columbia) placed ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 42' 7"

On the relay side:

  • The All-OAC 4x200 relay squad of Faggs, sophomore All-OAC Caden Bomback (Vermillion/ Firelands), sophomore All-OAC Khalize Beamon (Rochester, N.Y. / Spencerport) and sophomore All-OAC Mikel Love (Fort Pierce, Fla. / Westwood) were the runners up with a time of 1:30.66
  • The 4x400 relay team of FrisconeClark, freshman Donovan Birkett (Barbeton / Rootstown) and Sikorski finished sixth in a time of 3:32.04

The Yellow Jackets are back in action Saturday, March 4th when the team splits to attend two different meets. Polar Bear Qualifier hosted by Ohio Northern and Tufts National Qualifying Meet hosted by Tufts University.
