Pfeiffer and Clark Capture OAC Titles; Men's Outdoor Track and Field Take Sixth at the OAC Championships

ALLIANCE, Ohio - Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) and senior All-OAC hurdler ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park / Berea-Midpark) win OAC titles. The Baldwin Wallace Men's Outdoor Track and Field finish the OAC Championships in sixth place. 

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included: 

  • Clark won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 14.72 seconds, earning his first outdoor All-OAC honor. He won the 55-meter hurdles at the OAC indoor Championships this past winter.
  • Freshman All-OAC runner Kaeden Faggs (Marion / Harding) placed eighth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.22
  • Junior Carter Almady (Brunswick) placed 14th in the 5000-meter run in a time of 15:25.87
  • Sophomore Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) finished 18th in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:58.79

Field events highlighted:

  • Pfeiffer won the high jump with height of 6' 8¾", earning his first outdoor All-OAC honor. He won the high jump at the OAC indoor Championships this past winter.
  • Freshman Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station / Columbia) placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 42' 9¾". 
  • Sophomore All-OAC thrower Thomas Hickman (Oxford / Talawanda) placed eighth in the hammer throw with a mark of 167' 9"
  • Sophomore Kaleu Tellas (Indianapolis, Ind. / International School of Indiana) finished 14th in the shot put with a mark of 43' 3¾"

On the relay side:

  • The 4x100 relay squad of Faggs, junior Devontae Jackson (Cleveland / John Hay), sophomore Broden Bostwick (Strongsville / St. Edward) and freshman Rodney Washington Jr. (Warrensville Heights / Benedictine) finished fifth in a time of 42.48 seconds
  • The 4x400 relay team of FaggsFriscone, junior Mason Kooyman (Concord Township / Chardon) and junior Gehrig Stanley (Twinsburg / Benedictine) placed eighth in a time of 3:28.56

The Yellow Jackets are back in action Friday May 12th when it hosts Harrison Dillard Twilight inside George Finnie Stadium for an NCAA 'Last Chance Meet' to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
