BALDWIN-WALLACE COLLEGE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT B-W (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): Kara competed in track and field for four years and earned four varsity letters.  She competed in the sprinting (as a freshman and sophomore), hurdling and jumping events.

ACADEMIC AWARDS AT B-W:  Kara carries a 3.815 grade point average and is a member of the Dean's List, Dayton C. Miller and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies and is a Jacket Scholar. She also received a B-W Presidential and the Boynton D. Murch scholarships.

GENERAL INDOOR TRACK INFORMATION: Kara had a solid four-year indoor track career at B-W.  Twice she was named as the Vance Carter Most Outstanding Hurdler.  Kara was always a top contender at the OAC meet each season in both the hurdles and triple jump.  Her best finish was fifth in the hurdles her sophomore season and seventh in the triple jump her junior season.

As a freshman in 2008-2009, Kara participated in her first season of indoor track.  She had career-best in the 55-meter dash with a time of 8.39 seconds and season-bests in the 200-meter dash at 31.30 seconds, the 55-meter hurdles in 9.45 seconds and the 60-meter hurdles at 10.80 seconds.  Kara also competed in the triple jump posting a season-best of 30'10.25".
As a sophomore in 2009-2010, Kara competed in her second season of indoor track. She set career-best marks in the 200-meter dash of 29.53 seconds, the triple jump at 33'7.25" and in the long jump at 14'7". She also had a season-best in the 55-meter hurdles of 8.86 seconds.  At the OAC Championship Meet, she placed fifth in the 55-meter hurdles and eighth in the triple jump.
As a junior in 2010-2011, Kara competed in her third season of indoor track.  She had a career-best of 8.84 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles and a season-best jump of 33'2" in the triple-jump. At the OAC Championship Meet, she placed sixth in the hurdles and seventh in the triple jump.
As a senior in 2011-2012, Kara competed in her fourth season of indoor track.  She had season bests in the 55-meter hurdles at 9.59 seconds and in the triple jump at 31' 1.75".  At the OAC Championship Meet, she placed 17th in the triple jump. 

GENERAL OUTDOOR TRACK INFORMATION: Kara had a solid four-year outdoor track career.  Julie earned four varsity letters in outdoor track.  She has always been a top contender in both the OAC Championship and All-Ohio meets in the 100-meter hurdles and long and triple jump.

As a freshman in 2008-2009, Kara competed in her first season of outdoor track and field and earned her first varsity letter.  Kara posted season-bests of 14.11 seconds in the 100-meter dash, 29.75 seconds in the 200-meter dash (also a career-best), 17.44 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, 15'2" in the long jump and 33'2.5" in the triple jump.
As a sophomore in 2009-2010, Kara competed in her second season of outdoor track and earned her second letter. She set a personal-best in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.66 seconds at the the UNC-Charlotte (N.C.) 49er Classic and a season-best in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.36 seconds at the All-Ohio Track Meet.  At the OAC Championships, she placed 10th in the triple jump. At the All-Ohio Meet, she placed fourth in the 100 hurdles and 16th in the triple jump.
As a junior in 2010-2011, Kara competed in her third season of outdoor track and earned her third letter. She posted a career-best time of 15.16 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles and had career-best leaps of 15'11.5" in the long jump and 34'8.5" in the triple jump. At the OAC Championships, she placed sixth in the 100 hurdles and 10th in both the triple and long jumps. At the All-Ohio Meet, she was eighth in the 100 hurdles and fourth in the triple jump.
As a senior in 2011-12, Kara competed in her fourth season of track and field and earned her fourth varsity letter.  She competed in the 100-meter hurdles and triple jump and had season-bests of 16.55 seconds in the 100 hurdles and 32'5" in the triple jump. At the OAC Championship Meet, she placed 14th in the triple jump and 16th in the 100 hurdles. At the All-Ohio Meet, she placed 22nd in the hurdles and 12th in the triple jump.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED): Kara participated in volleyball for two seasons and earned one varsity letter.  She also ran track and field for four seasons and earned four varsity letters. Kara was SWC Champion in the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles her senior year.  She was also SWC scholar athlete her senior year. Kara earned high honors all four years, was a member of the Amherst Academic Hall of Fame and received the Presidential Award.
