BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Danielle Rueger played four years of tennis at Baldwin Wallace University from 2009-2013. 

ACADEMIC HONORS AT BW:  Danielle is in the BW honors program.  As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Danielle became a Jacket Scholar for maintaining a cumulative GPA above 3.5.  She was also inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society. As a junior in 2011-12, Danielle was honored at the 2011-12 Student-Athlete & Faculty Recognition Luncheon for having the Highest Grade Point Average on the women's tennis team (3.80)

GENERAL TENNIS INFORMATION: Danielle has had a solid tennis career thus far. BW has recorded a 56-40 record during her first four seasons as a Yellow Jacket. She has appeared in 36 singles matches for a record of 33-28. Danielle also played doubles for a record of 30-33 in a four year span.

As a freshman in 2009-10, Danielle played in her first season of tennis and earned her first varsity letter. Danielle was a back-up singles and doubles player, filling in at sixth singles, where she was 3-3 overall. In doubles play, she was 3-1 overall. B-W had an overall record of 18-8 and won the OAC regular season (9-0) and tournament titles. The Yellow Jackets made their third NCAA Tournament appearance in the last four years. 

As a sophomore in 2010-11, Danielle competed in her second season of tennis.  She saw limited action on the court and posted a 4-0 record.  In doubles play, Danielle teamed with freshman Elizabeth Keller and compiled a 1-2 record.  B-W compiled an overall record of 18-8 and finished second in the OAC during the regular season with a record of 8-1.  The Yellow Jackets also won the OAC Tournament title and qualified for their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last five years.

As a junior in 2011-12, Danielle played in her third season of tennis. She played the No. 4 and No. 5 position in singles, earning a record of 13-13. She played with four different combinations in doubles play to finish with a record of 11-11.

As a senior in 2012-13, Danielle played in her fourth season of tennis and earned her fourth varsity letter. Danielle finished her senior year with a 13-12 singles and 0-5 doubles record. She helped BW to a 11-10 season record and 6-3 record in conference play. She finished her career with an impressive record of 33-28 in singles plays and a 15-19 in doubles play. BW was 56-40 during the four year span Danielle played tennis.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Danielle Rueger grew up in Ashland, Ohio and graduated from Ashland High School. Danielle played four years of tennis and earned three varsity letters.

As freshman in 2005-2006, Danielle was number one singles player and team captain on the junior varsity. As a sophomore, she was team co-MVP.  As a junior, Danielle was team captain, sectional champion in doubles and earned the team's Best Tournament Player and Silver Racquet Award.

As a senior, she was team MVP, team captain, sectional champion in singles and earned the Wendy's High School Heisman, George Valentine Sportsmanship and Integrity and OTCA Golden Racquet Awards.
