BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Rebecca "Becky" Mittler played four years of tennis at Baldwin Wallace University and graduated in the spring of 2013 as one of the best players in the history of the program.

Becky helped the Yellow Jackets qualify for two straight NCAA Division III Tournament appearances (2010 and 2011), was a four-time All-OAC selection, including being a first-team pick twice, and earned both Academic All-OAC and ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for three straight years.

Individually, Becky compiled a 57-44 career singles and 60-49 career doubles mark. Her 57 singles wins ranks seventh all-time in school history and her 60 doubles wins and 117 career combination victories each rank eighth.

ACADEMIC HONORS:   Becky carried a 3.58 grade point average, was a three-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athlete and a three-time ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Scholar-Athlete (2011, 2012 and 2013).  She is a Dean's List student and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Sigma honor societies.  Rebecca became a Jacket Scholar as a sophomore.  She was a 2-year nominee for CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 honors.  As a senior in 2012-2013, Becky was a Jacket Scholar recipient 

ATHLETICS HONORS:  Becky earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors for four straight seasons. She was a first-team pick as a sophomore in 2010-2011 and as a senior in 2012-2013, as a second-team choice as a freshman in 2009-2010 and an honorable mention pick as a junior in 2011-2012. As a senior in 2012-2013, Becky earned OAC Player of the Week honors twice: on April 8 and again on April 22, 2013.

GENERAL TENNIS INFORMATION:   As a freshman in 2009-2010, Beck played her first season of tennis and earned her first varsity letter.  She was the starter at third singles and combined with junior Caitlyn Pecinovsky at first doubles. Becky had a 15-9 singles record, including an 9-1 mark against OAC opponents, and combined with Pecinovsky for a 15-13 doubles slate, including a 10-2 mark versus OAC foes. She won the Championship Match at the 2010 OAC Tournament to give B-W a 5-4 win versus Otterbein College.  Becky helped B-W to an 18-8 overall record, an OAC regular season title (9-0 record) and an OAC Tournament title. B-W advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four years. Becky was named second team All-OAC.

As a sophomore in 2010-2011, Becky competed in her second season of tennis and earned her second letter.  She saw action in singles play at the No. 3 position and finished the season with a 16-13 record.  In doubles play, Rebecca teamed with senior Caitlyn Peckinovsky at the No. 1 position and led the team in doubles victories with a 23-9 record. She was named  first-team All-OAC and as an honorable mention Academic All-OAC pick. Becky also was tabbed as an ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Scholar-Athlete award recipient. B-W compiled an overall record of 18-8 and finished second in the OAC during the regular season (8-1 mark) and won the OAC Tournament title and qualified for their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last five years. 

As a junior in 2011-2012, Becky competed in her third season of tennis and earned her third letter. She also served as a team captain. She alternated between the No. 1 and 2 position in singles and finished with a 12-12 record. She teamed with then freshman Morgan Baker in doubles play to compile a 9-14 record. For her efforts, Becky was both an honorable mention All-OAC and Academic All-OAC selection. She also earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the second straight season. BW finished 9-14 overall.

As a senior in 2012-2013, Becky played her fourth season of tennis and earned her fourth letter. She served as a team captain for the second straight season. She earned OAC Player of the Week honors on April 8 and earned OAC Player of the Week honors for the second time on April 22. She compiled a 14-10 singles and 13-13 doubles record and ended her career among the best all-time players.  For her efforts both on the court and in the classroom, Becky was a first-team All-OAC selection and an Academic All-OAC choice for the third straight season. She also earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the third straight year.  BW finished 11-10 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL BACKGROUND:  Rebecca "Becky" Mittler grew up in Elyria, Ohio and graduated from Elyria Catholic High School.  She played junior varsity tennis as a freshman in 2005-06 and then three years of varsity tennis and earned three varsity letters.

As a sophomore in 2006-07, Rebecca placed third at first doubles at the LCAAA tournament, first place at second doubles at the North Coast League Tournament and was the Elyria Catholic Most Improved Player. As a junior in 2007-8, Rebecca played first singles and placed second at the LCAAA Tournament, was a District qualifier and was the EC Most Valuable Player. As a senior in 2008-09, Rebecca played first singles, finished second at the LCAAA tourney, was the Elyria Catholic MVP, against was a District qualifier, was the North Coast League champion, was the Sectional Runner-up in 2007. and District Top 8 in 2008. As a junior in 2007-08, Rebecca compiled a 16-9 record.  As a senior in 2008-09, she had a 21-8 mark.

Academically, Rebecca was a member of the National Honor Society, 4-time Academic Recognition Award, Top-5 in her graduating class and received a Silver Racquet Award (combined Academic & Athletic award).
