BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Emma Gerdes completed her fourth season of swimming at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. Emma earned her fourth varsity letter this past season. 

GENERAL SWIMMING AND DIVING INFORMATION: Emma had a solid swimming career at Baldwin Wallace University. Her personal bests throughout her four seasons are: a time of 27.35 in the 50-yard freestyle, 57.23 in the 100-yard freestyle, 2:02.83 in the 200-yard freestyle, 27.80 in the 50-yard backstroke, 59.08 in the 100-yard backstroke, 2:09.18 in the 200-yard backstroke, 1:20.87 in the 100-yard breaststroke, and a 2:14.32 in the 200-yard IM.

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Emma competed in her first season of swimming. Emma had a team best with a time of 59.59 in the 100-yard backstroke and also in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 27.91.

As a sophomore in 2011-12, Emma competed in her second season of swimming. Emma posted team-best times in the 50-yard backstroke (28.16), 100-yard backstroke (1:00.24) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.95). She also posted season-best times in the 50-yard freestyle (27.35), 200-yard freestyle (2:03.69) and the 200-yard IM (2:17.17).

As a junior in 2012-2013, Emma competed in her third season of swimming and earned her third varsity letter. Emma posted team-bests in 50-yard backstroke (28.46), 100-yard backstroke (1:00.63), and 200-yard backstroke (2:10.93). In the 100-yard freestyle, it was a career best (57.23).  

As a senior in 2013-2014, Emma competed in her fourth season of swimming and earned her fourth varsity letter. Emma led the team in the 50, 100, and 200 yard backstroke with times of 27.80, 59.08, and 2:10.01, respectively. Emma also recorded her personal bests in the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.83), and the 200-yard IM (2:14.32).

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Emma Gerdes grew up in Avon, Ohio and graduated from Avon High School. Emma competed in four years of swimming and earned four varsity letters.

Emma broke seven school records and was the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 MVP.  She served as team captain and was first team all-West Shore Conference.
