SEAMUS BERMINGHAM'S CAREER SYNOPSIS:   Seamus competed in four seasons of wrestling and earned three varsity letters. He missed one season due to injury. Seamus was a big part BW's success and two straight Ohio Athletic Conference Championship teams. He began his career as a 141-pounder and ended it competing at either 149 of 157 pounds. During his four seasons, BW compiled a 65-19 record with two OAC titles and a national ranking during each of his four seasons. Individually, Seamus compiled a 31-28 career record with a career-high 18 wins and 18-10 record as a junior in 2015-2016.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:  As a freshman in 2013-2014, Seamus competed in his first season of wrestling and earned a certificate of participation. He competed for mat time at 141 pounds. Seamus had a 7-10 record with four pins. He also had 10 takedowns, nine escapes, two reversals and nine total near falls. BW finished 8-3 overall and 22nd at the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament.

As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Seamus competed in his second season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He mostly competed at 141 pounds and had a 18-10 record with three pins and one fall. He also had 23 takedowns, 17 escapes, five reversals and 22 near falls. BW set a single-season school-record with 17 wins, finished 17-6 overall and 4-1 in OAC dual matches, won the 29th Annual John Summa Memorial Tournament, placed sixth at the NCAA Div. III Mideast Regional and 20th at the 2015 NCAA Div. III National Tournament.

As a junior in 2015-2016, Seamus tried to wrestle his third season, but an injury forced him to miss the entire season. He can receive a medical red-shirt. BW reset the school-record for single-season wins with 18, compile an 18-8 overall and perfect 5-0 OAC record and an OAC title and place second at the 2016 NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Tournament.

As a senior in 2016-2017, Seamus competed in his third season of wrestling and earned his third letter. He competed as a back up at 157 pounds and compiled a 6-8 record with three pins and one tyechnical fall. He also had 10 takedowns, seven escapes, two reversals and seven total near falls. He helped the Yellow Jackets compile a school-record 22 wins and a 22-3 dual match record, captured a second straight OAC title, place second at the Mideast Regional for the second straight yea, end the season ranked ninth in Div. III by the NWCA and place 25th at the Div. III national tourney.
