Women’s Golfers Finish Ninth at Allegheny Fall Invitational

MEADVILLE, Pennsylvania -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished ninth at the 2015 Allegheny (Pa.) College Fall Invitational Tournament at the Country Club of Meadville.

The Yellow Jackets finished in ninth of 10 schools that competed and fired rounds of 406 and 411 for a two-day and 36-hole total of 817 strokes on the par-73 and 5,818-yard Country Club of Meadville layout. The University of Toronto (Canada) was the team champion with a total of 648 strokes.

Senior Shannon Stamper (Westlake) led the Yellow Jackets and fired rounds of 98 and 103 for a 201-stroke total for 36 holes. She was followed by freshman Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y./ Skaneateles) with rounds of 98 and 105 for a 203-stroke total, freshman Erinn Maynard (New London) had rounds of 102 and 101 for a 203 total to tie Magee, senior Nikki Gannon (North Ridgeville) had rounds of 108 and 102 for a 210 total and junior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind./ Tudor Park) had rounds of 141 and a career-low 115 for a 256 total.

The Yellow Jackets end the 2015 fall season on Tuesday, October 13 when they travel to West Lafayette to play at the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational at the River Greens Golf Club. River Greens also is the host site of the 2016 OAC Championship Tournament.
