Men's Tennis Unveils 2021 Schedule

BEREA, Ohio – Looking to build off a shortened season due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, in which the Yellow Jackets went 6-2, the Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team is poised to return this spring. Head Coach Brian Rector '89 and the Ohio Athletic Conference have now released their 2021 schedule. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Yellow Jackets will play a conference only schedule, with their first action set to begin on April 7.

The schedule will consist of six matches, with the Yellow Jackets facing each competing OAC team once. Matches will take place on Wednesday's and Saturday's with each team receiving three bye weeks.

The Yellow Jackets begin the season with two of those bye weeks, then open their season on Wednesday, April 7 at the University of Mount Union. On April 14, the Yellow Jackets will make their home debut against Ohio Northern University.

BW will split the remaining four matches between home and the road, first by traveling to Otterbein University on April 17. The Yellow Jackets will face off against Marietta College on April 24, followed by a road trip to John Carroll University on April 28 and the regular season finale against Capital University on May 1.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, the OAC will host the top four teams to decide the league champion. The semifinals will begin on May 7 and the final will occur on May 8 at the Lindner Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.
