BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference rival Heidelberg University, 5-0, today at the "Pop" Collins Courts in an OAC quarterfinal match and advance to the OAC Final Four at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio on May 2-3. The winner of the OAC Tournament advances to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

With its win, BW improves to 18-3 overall while Heidelberg ends its season at 7-12 overall.
 
The Yellow Jackets led 3-0 after doubles play as the No.1 tandem of sophomores Peter Harris (Akron/ Richfield Revere) and Doug Ganim (Westerville/ Olentangy Liberty) defeated the Heidelberg tandem of Zach Schwenning and Matt McDivitt, 8-4. Also picking up a victory for BW, was the second tandem of junior Kyle Patterson (Wooster/ Triway) and senior Brad Minrovic (Akron / Ellet), who defeated Dorian Kempf and Tyer Flickinger of Heidelberg by a score of 8-3. Closing out doubles play was the Yellow Jacket tandem of sophomore Keven Fredrick (Archbold) and senior Zach Elbin (Findlay) who closed doubles play with a victory over Heidelberg's, Benjamin Moore and Dan Driscool, by a score of 8-4.
 
In singles action, the Yellow Jackets were lead by No. 2 player Harris, who defeated Benjamin Moore of Heidelberg with scores of 6-0 and 6-1. Also for BW, junior No. 6  Letch Radomirov (Fairview Park/ Fairview) pick up a victory by defeating Dan Driscoll of the Student Princes by scores of 6-0 and 6-1.

The men will travel to Mason, Ohio to play No. 3 Capital University, Friday in the semifinals at 4:30 p.m.
