BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team currently stands tied for second of 11 schools after the first 18 holes at the 2008 Ohio Wesleyan University Fall Invitational Tournament (Tuesday, September 16) at the Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware.  The teams are currently playing in the second 18 holes with final results available later today.

The Yellow Jackets tied their season-low round of 298 strokes during the first 18 holes and are tied with Carnegie-Mellon (Pa.) University and six strokes back of first place and host OWU on the par-71 and 6,799-yard Oakhaven layout.

Individually, junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Nick Bryan (Zanesville/Bishop Rosecrans) carded his best round of the fall season with a 70 tie tie for low round with Denison University's Rob Parks. Bryan was followed by sophomore Matt Weiss (Concord/ Mentor) with a 73, sophomore Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./Mars Area) with a 75, freshman Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/ Parma Padua Franciscan) with an 80 and junior Cory Swaisgood (Fremont/ St. Joseph's Centeal Catholic) had an 84.

In addition and playing as individuals at OWU, junior Tom Jesko (Salem/ Senior) shot an 81, freshman Chris Juszczak (East Liverpool) had an 87 and freshman Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calif./ Riverside Poly) had a 91.

Following the second round of the OWU Tournament, BW will play on Monday, Sept. 22 at the Ohio Athletic Conference 27-hole Fall Invitational Tournament, hosted by Heidelberg College, at the Mohawk Golf Club in Tiffin. Tee times are TBA.
