BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team placed second of three teams at the John Carroll University Tri-Match at Fowler's Mill Golf Club in Chesterland, Ohio today (Saturday, September 6, 2008). The match was only scored through 16 holes because tee time was postponed an hour due to rain and the match was shortened due to darkness.
Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets were junior Nick Bryan (Zanesville/ Rosecrans) and freshman Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/ Parma Padua Franciscan) who shot a 73 each. Sophomore Brian Routhieaux(Gibsonia, Pa./ Mars Area) and sophomore Matt Weiss (Concord/ Mentor) each carded a 76, and junior Cory Swaisgood (Fremont/ St. Joseph's Central Catholic) shot a 78.
In individual play, Chris Juszczak (East Liverpool) shot a 78, junior fomer basketball player turned golfer Tom Jesko (Salem/ Senior) shot a 79, and Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calf./ RIverside Poly) shot a 79.
BW will be in action next on Saturday and Sunday, September 13-14, at the Denison Unviersity Invitational at Denison Golf Club in Granville, Ohio. Tee time is to be announced.
