BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Brandon Schmidt played in his fourth and final season as a Yellow Jacket. Brandon earned his fourth varsity letter.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION: Brandon has finished his final season at BW. BW has recorded a 58-44 record during his four seasons as a Yellow Jacket. He has appeared in 69 games and has averaged 2.8 points per game and has grabbed 1.8 rebounds per game. Brandon has a career total of 185 points, 49 assists, 27 steals, and four blocks.

As a freshman in 2009-10, Brandon played in his first season of basketball, earning his first varsity letter. Brandon appeared in all 26 games, averaging 4.0 pounts per game and shot 43.4 percent (17-of-43) from behind the three point arc. 

As a sophomore in 2010-11, Brandon competed in his second season of basketball. He played in 21 games and started in three of them. Brandon averaged 1.9 ppg and 1.4 rpg.

As a junior in 2011-12, Brandon competed his third season of basketball for the Yellow Jackets.  He played in 18 games. Brandon averaged .500 from the charity stripe. He finished with 12 points, five assits, and three steals.

As a senior in 2012-13, Brandon completed his fourth season of basketball and earned his fourth varsity letter.  He appeared in 20 of the Yellow Jackets' 25 games, averaging 1.5 points and 1.2 rebounds per game while registering 18 assists and four steals.  Brandon tallied a season-high seven points in an 80-71 win against the University of Mount Union on Dec. 20.

  • Five rebounds (2x) with last coming vs. Marietta on Dec. 4, 2010
  • Four assists vs. Bethany (W. Va.) on Nov. 18, 2010.

  • One blocked shot (4x) with last coming vs. Muskingum on Feb. 16, 2013

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Brandon Schmidt grew up in Wellington, Ohio and graduated from Wellington High School. Brandon played four years of basketball and earned four varsity letters.  He also golfed for one year and lettered.

As a freshman in basketball, Brandon was first team All-District, second-team All-Lorain County and special mention All-Ohio for Division IV.  As a sophomore he was first-team All-Patriot Athletic Conference, first-team All-District and All-Lorain County.  He was also special mention All-Ohio.  As a junior, Brandon was first-team All-PAC and first-team All-County.  As a senior, he was first-team All-PAC, second-team All-District, first-team All-County, Lorain County Division III Player of the Year, and honorable mention All-Ohio for Division III.
