BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Grant Fairhurst will play his fourth season of basketball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. He will look to earn his fourth varsity letter.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION: Grant is off to a solid basketball career thus far. BW has recorded a 44-32 record during his first three seasons as a Yellow Jacket. He has appeared in 48 games and has averaged 7.2 points per game and grabbed 1.5 rebounds per game. Grant has recorded a career total of 522 points, four blocks, 63 assists and 51 steals.

As a freshman in 2010-11, Grant played in his first season of basketball, and earned his first varsity letter. He came off the bench and saw plenty of playing time at guard. He played in 22 games and started four of them for the Yellow Jackets. He scored 157 points with a field goal percentage of 44 percent. He also shot the ball from three exceptionally well, going 44-105 giving him a 41.9 percent completion rate. To go along with his scoring, Grant also had 33 rebounds, 16 assists, 11 steals, and one blocked shot. Grant led B-W to the ECAC Holiday Classic (in Kissimmee, Florida) tournament title and was named as the tournament Most Valuable Player and was an all-tournament team selection.

As a sophomore in 2011-12, Grant competed in his second season of basketball for the Yellow Jackets.  He appeared in all 26 games for B-W and was a key contributor off the bench.  Grant was fourth on the team in scoring, at 7.4 points per game, with a total of 193 points for the season.  He tied for team-lead in three point percentage at .366, on 53-145 attempts.  Grant contributed with 49 rebounds, 30 assists, 28 steals and shot .778 percent from the free throw line. His season high for points in a game was 20 in a loss versus Wabash, 63-61, on December 20, 2011.

As a junior in 2012-13, Grant completed his third season of basketball and earned his third varsity letter.  He played in all 25 of BW's games, averaging 6.9 points, good for fourth on the team, and 1.1 rebounds per game while shooting 43.6 percent (58-of-133) from the field, including 41.2 percent (47-of-114) from beyond the arc to rank second.  Grant also registered 17 assists and 12 steals.  He scored a season-high 18 points in a 74-60 win against Otterbein University on Jan. 26 and matched a career high with three assists on three separate occasions.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Grant Fairhurst grew up in Ashland, Ohio and graduated from Ashland High School. Grant played four years of basketball and earned two varsity letters. He also played three years of football and earned three varsity letters. He played one year of baseball and did not letter.

In basketball as a senior in 2009-10, Grant earned first-team All-Ohio Cardinal Conference, first-team All-Area, first-team All-Times-Gazette, second-team All-District 6 and second- team All-Northwest Ohio honors.  Grant was a four-year scholar athlete honor roll student and also earned the gym student of the year award his spohomore year.  Grant made nine three-pointers in a single game, shot 92% from the line, made 55 three-pointers (led all-area), 90 assists in  a season (led conference), third in conference in steals.
