All student-athletes are required to have certain paperwork for participation with any Baldwin Wallace University athletic team.

Instructions will be sent to all first year, transfer, and returning student-athletes over the summer for the required paperwork needed for athletic participation at BW.

Physical Examination and Medical Updates
Physicals will be given to all student athletes prior to the beginning of the season for each sport. All first year and transfer student athletes at Baldwin Wallace University will be given both a free orthopedic and general medical screening as part of his/her examination.
Medical updates for every returning student athlete are performed the semester prior to their primary athletics season. Should a student athlete develop a significant injury or illness after their medical update, but before the first sanctioned practice, the student athlete must see a team physician for further clearance.
