Women’s Golf Finishes Tied for Fourth at Eva Shorb Weiskopf Memorial Invitational

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished in a three-way tie for fourth place at the two-day Eva Shorb Weiskopf Memorial Invitational hosted by the College of Wooster at the Wooster Country Club.

BW shot rounds of 366 and 373 for a team score of 739, which put them in a tie with Otterbein University and Ohio Valley University. Denison University won the invitational with a final score of 657.

BW was led by freshmen Allison Mills (Dover) and Alexis Wilkinson (Dover). Mills finished fifth overall with rounds of 84 and 82 for a final score of 166 and Wilkinson carded a career-best round of 91 on day one and a 95 on day two for a total of 186.  

Sophomore Madison Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.), sophomore Erinn Maynard (New London) and freshman Hannah Durst (Madison) closed out the top five. Magee fired rounds of 95 and 98 for a final of 193, Maynard posted rounds of 96 and 98 for a total of 194 and Durst carded rounds of 105 and 103 for a score of 208.

Senior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind. / Park Tudor) and freshman Emily Hunt (Marysville) played as individuals for the Yellow Jackets. Johnson fired rounds of 125 and 120 for a total of 245 and Hunt carded a 110 on day one, but did not compete on day two.

BW is finished with the fall portion of its schedule and will begin competition again when it takes its spring trip in early March.
