Women’s Golf Places Sixth at John Carroll Fall Invitational

HUDSON, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished sixth at the John Carroll Fall Invitational at the Country Club of Hudson.

BW finished sixth of eight teams with a team score of 751. The University of Saint Francis won the invitational with a team score of 653.

The Yellow Jackets were led by, freshman Allison Mills (Dover), sophomore Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.), and sophomore Erinn Maynard (New London). Mills shot an 87 in round one and a career-best 85 in round two for a score of 172, Magee fired a career-best 91 on day one and a 94 on day two for a total of 185 and Maynard shot rounds of 95 and 96 for a final score of 191. Freshmen Emily Hunt (Marysville) and Hannah Durst (Madison) closed out the top five. Hunt carded a career-best round of 98 on day one and a 105 on day two for a final score of 203 and Durst recorded rounds of of 109 and 115 for a total of 224.

Playing as an individual, senior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind. /Park Tudor) posted rounds of 116 and 109 for a final score 225.      

BW is back in action on September 25 and 26 when it travels to Meadville, Pennsylvania for the Allegheny (Pa.) Invitational hosted by Allegheny College at the Country Club of Meadville.
