Women’s Golf Opens Season at the Lynn Schweizer Inviational

GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished  16th at the two day Lynn Schweizer Invitational hosted by Denison University on the Zoar Village Golf Course this weekend.

BW shot rounds of 403 and 399 for a final team score of 802. Wittenberg University won the invitational with a team score of 610.

The Yellow Jackets were led by, freshmen Allison Mills (Dover), Alexis Wilkinson (Dover) and Emily Hunt (Marysville). Mills shot a team-best 189 with rounds of 97 and 92, Wilkinson carded two rounds of 95 for a total of 190 and Hunt carded rounds of 106 and 103 for a final of 209.

Sophomore Madison Trenkamp (Villa Hills, Ky. / Villa Madonna Academy) and senior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind. / Park Tudor) rounded out the top five with final scores of 214 and 243.

Sophomore Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.), sophomore Erinn Maynard (New London) and freshman Hannah Durst (Madison) each played as individuals. Magee shot rounds of 94 for a final score of 188, Maynard shot rounds of 100 for a total 200 and Durst carded round of 107 on day one and 99 on day two for a final of 206.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11 when they travel to Powell where they will compete at the Safari Golf Club for the Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational.
