Aukerman Named OAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the first time in his career, senior right-handed pitcher Spencer Aukerman (Medina) has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Aukerman garners this award after a masterful eight innings of no-run baseball against Wabash (Ind.) College on Sunday. The senior allowed a mere two hits and struck out a career-high 12 batters en route to the 6-0 non-conference victory.

The righty has made 29 appearances and started 16 games in his career with 83 innings pitched, 44 earned runs, 82 strikeouts, and a 4.77 earned run average.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, March 4 when they host a non-conference game against Oberlin College on Fisher Field at 3 p.m.
