ACADEMIC MAJOR: Marketing & Management

LOGAN HEFFERNAN'S CAREER SYNOPSIS:  Logan played four years of baseball and earned four letters. He was a key member of the pitching staff for four years and also saw some action as an outfielder. He helped BW win 106 games, post a 106-69 record with two NCAA Division III National Tournament appearances, including the school's first-ever Division III College Baseball World Series appearance in 2014. Logan also helped BW to advance to a pair of OAC Championship games.

Individually on the mound, Logan made 41 total appearances, including 29 starts, and had a 15-9 career record with a .600 winning percentage. He also had a 3.98 career earned run average (ERA) with two complete games and 138 career strikeouts in 173 and one-third innings pitched. At the plate, he had a .218 career batting average (12 for 55) with two runs scored, a double and eight runs batted-in (RBI)

ALL-OAC HONORS: As a senior in 2016-2017, Logan was selected as an honorable mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference player. 

BW ACADEMIC HONORS: Logan carried a 3.2 grade point average and was a Dean's List student.

ALL-TOURNEY TEAM HONORS:   As a freshman in 2013-2014. Logan was named to the OAC Tournament all-tournament team

ALL-NCAA MID-ATLATIC TOURNAMENT:  As a freshman in 2013-2014, Logan was named to the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional all-tournament team. 

OAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK:  As a senior in 2016-2017, Logan was named as the OAC Pitcher of the Week on February 27, 2017. 

LOGAN'S CAREER THROUGH-THE-YEARS:   As a freshman in 2013-2014, Logan played his first season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter. He was the number three pitcher in the starting rotation and saw limited action in the outfield. Logan made 12 pitching appearances, including seven starts. He compiled a 4-4 record with a 3.89 earned run average (ERA) and 35 strikeouts and nine walks in 44 innings pitched. At the plate, Logan batted .289 (2-for-7) with a double and a run batted-in (RBI). For bhis efforts, he earned OAC Tournament all-toiurnament team honors and was named to the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region all-tournament team. Logan helped BW set a single-seaspn school-record with 30 victories, compile a 30-20 record, finish second at the OAC Tournament, win the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region title and advance to the school's first-ever NCAA Division III College World Series.

As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Logan played his second season of baseball and earned his second varsity letter. He split time between pitching and as an outfielder. On the mound, Logan appeared in 10 games, including eight as a starter, and compiled a 4-3 record with one save and a 5.15 ERA with 38 strikeouts in 45 and one-third innings pitched. He had one complete game. At the plate, Logan batted .243 (9-for-37) with one run scored and four RBI. BW finished with a school-record 31 victories and a 31-12 record. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth at the OAC Tournament and advanced to their second straight NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.

As a junior in 2015-2016, Logan played his third season of baseball and earned his third letter. Despite some pre-season injuries, Logan appearned in nine games as a pitcher, including four starts, and in five games as either an outfielder, designated hitter or pinch-hitter. On the mound, he compiled a 2-0 record with a 4.85 earned run average and struck out 22 opposing hitters in 29 and two-third innings pitched. At the plate, Logan was 1-for-7 with a run scored and three RBI. BW finished 23-20 overall, tied for second in the OAC at 13-5 and advanced to the OAC Championship Game.

As a senior in 2016-2017, Logan played his fourth season of baseball and earned his fourth varsity letter. He was a starting pitcher in the varsity rotation for the fourth straight year. Logan also saw limited action as an outfielder. He earned honorable mention All-OAC honors. Logan was named as the OAC Pitcher of the Week on February 27, 2017 for his efforts in the second game of a doubleheader sweep of Pitt-Bradford. He pitched a 7-hit shutout in a 1-0 win versus Muskingum University on April 30, 2017. Logan appeared in 10 games and started all 10 and compiled a 5-2 record with a 2.32 ERA, one complete game and 43 strikeouts in 54 and one-third innings pitched. BW finished 22-17 overall and 10-8 in the OAC (three-way tie for fourth place)
