BW Women's Cross Country Team Opens Season at Wooster

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team opened the 2014 season by competing at the non-scored College of Wooster Invitational at the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course.
 
In addition to BW and Wooster, the teams competing were Franciscan University, Hiram College, Lorain County Community College Point Park (Pa.) University and Oberlin College.   The men's teams ran either in the 4-mile run or 5k and the women's ran either a 4k or 5k.

Junior Molly Rehor (Fairview Park/Fairview) was the highest Yellow Jacket women finisher in the 4K as she crossed the finish line in a career-best time of 16:50.4.  Senior Dusica Vasic (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) placed 14th in a time of 17:05.1 and was closely followed by freshman Maeve Christie (Lakewood) was 15th in a time of 17:07.9.
 
In the 5K, junior Kali Fittro (Tiffin/Columbian) was the lone BW runner and she took third place in a career-best time of 20:07.9.
 
The Yellow Jackets next travel to Delaware to compete in the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, September 6 at 11:15 a.m.
