Women's Volleyball Tabbed Sixth in OAC Preseason Coaches Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team has been selected to finish sixth in the Ohio Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. 

BW, who was picked seventh a season ago, tallied 42 points and is predicted to finish sixth. Marietta College and the defending OAC Champion Otterbein University sit tied at the top of the poll with 75 points each and with five first-place votes and four first-place votes, respectively. The 2023 conference runner-up University of Mount Union received the last first-place vote and was picked third with 67 points. Ohio Northern University was picked fourth with 58 points while crosstown rival John Carroll University comes just ahead of the Yellow Jackets with 45 points to round out the top five.

The Yellow Jackets, led by first-year Head Coach Kate Latkovic, return 11 letterwinners, two All-OAC players, and seven Academic All-OAC selections from last year's Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament qualifying squad that finished with a record of 12-13 overall and a record of 5-4 in conference play.

BW's 2024 campaign begins Friday, August 30 as the team travels to Springfield to take on Mount St. Joseph University at the Wittenberg Fall Classic hosted by Wittenberg University in Pam Evans Smith Arena at 4:30 p.m.
