HIGH SCHOOL HONORS (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT, ETC.): In volleyball, Markema was named All-City Honorable Mention as a freshman, Second Team her sophomore year, and First Team her junior and senior seasons. She named the team's Best Blocker all four years, Most Improved as a freshman, Best Hitter her junior and senior year, and Best Server her senior season.
