ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Sociology

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Kayla Eyster is competing in her fourth season of swimming at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. The All-Ohio Athletic Conference and school record-setting swimmer hopes to earn her fourth varsity letter.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Kayla earned Dean's List honors.

ATHLETIC HONORS:   As a freshman in 2011-2012, Kayla earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors as a member of the 400-yard medley and 800-yard freestyle relay teams. As a junior in 2013-2014, Kayla earned All-OAC honors as a member of the school-record setting 400-yard medley relay team.

SCHOOL RECORDS:  Kayla is a member of five school record-setting relay teams: the 200 and 400-yard medley and 200, 400 and 800-yard freestyle.

GENERAL NOTES & OTHER INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2011-2012, Kayla competed in her first season of swimming and earned her first varsity letter. She earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors as a member of the 400-yard medley and 800-yard freestyle relay teams. She also was a member of the school record-setting 200-yard freestyle relay team. Kayla posted team-best times in the 100-yard freestyle (56.36 seconds) and 200 free (2:02.79).  She also had season-best times in the 50 free (26.11 seconds) and 100-yard butterfly (1:10.55).

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Kayla competed in her second season of swimming and earned her second letter. She posted season-bests in the 100 free (55.75), 200 free (2:02.19) and 500 free (5:27.62).

As a junior in 2013-2014, Kayla competed in her third season of swimming and earned her third letter. She earned All-OAC honors as a member of the school-record setting 400-yard medley relay team. She swam on four school record-setting relay teams: the 200-yard and 400-yard medley and 400 and 800-yard freestyle. She posted career-bests in the 100 free (55.49), 200 free (2:00.17), 500 free (5:23.31), 1000 free (11:37.01), 100-yard backstroke (1:17.94) and 200-yard individual medley (2:34.38).

As a senior in 2014-2015, Kayla competed in her fourth season of swimming and earned her fourth letter. She swam on the school-record 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:41.59).

OTHER CLUBS OR ORGANIZATIONS:    Kayla is a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Kayla Eyster grew up in Canton, Michigan and graduated from Plymouth-Canton High School. Kayla competed in swimming for four seasons and earned four varsity letters.

Academically, Kayla was a member of the National Honors Society (2009-2011).
