Women’s Soccer Selected Fifth in OAC Coaches Preseason Poll

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team was selected to finish in fifth place in the 2024 Ohio Athletic Conference Women's and Men's Soccer Polls.

BW, who was picked to finish fifth a season ago, was again picked fifth with a total of 52 points.  Crosstown rival John Carroll University was picked to win the league with 76 points and four first place votes.  Capital University and Otterbein University tied for second with each receiving 67 points.  Capital earned three first place votes while Otterbein garnered two.  Ohio Northern University was slated to place fourth with 63 points and one first place vote.

The Yellow Jackets and veteran head coach Jim Wojtkun returns 15 letterwinners, six Academic All-OAC honorees and two All-OAC players from last year's squad that finished with an overall record of 8-8-4 and an 4-4-1 mark in the OAC.  BW advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinals.

The Yellow Jackets open the 2024 campaign on the road with a non-conference game against Geneva (Pa.) College on August 31.  BW plays its first home contest on September 8 when it hosts a non-conference game against Kalamazoo (Mich.) College.
