ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Exercise Science

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:   Geena Gabriel played her first season of women's basketball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. She earned a certificate of participation.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2014-2015, Geena played her first season of basketball and earned a certificate of participation. She played in seven games off the bench and scored two points and grabbed three rebounds. She made two foul shots versus Heidelberg University on February 24, 2015. BW finished 22-7 overall, won the BW Invitational title, captured the OAC Tournament title and earned a berth in the 2015 NCAA Division III National Tournament.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Geena Gabriel grew up in Andover, Ohio and graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School.

Geena played four years of soccer, basketball and track and earned 12 total varsity letters.

In soccer, Genna was a three-time team captain, three-time Pymatuning Valley H.S. Most Valuable Player, the team Most Valuable Offensiive Player in 2013 and the Offensive Player of the Year in 2011. She also was a three-time first-team All-Northeastern Conference selection. Genna also set the PV school-records for the most goals scored in a game, season and career.

In basketball, Genna was the Ashtabula County Basketball Foundation & Hall of Fame Player of the Year  and the Ashtabula Star-Beacon Ashtabula County Player of the Year in 2014. She also was the Star-Beacon Ed Batanian Senior Classic MVP in 2014. Geena earned first-team All-NEC honors in 2014, second-team in 2013 and honorable mention in 2012. She was a three-time PV team captain, a member of the 1,000-Point Club, named as Best Defensive Player in 2012, the "Floor General" in 2013 and MVP in 2014. Geena holds PV career records for the most points scored, assists and steals.

In track, Geena was a Regional Meet participant in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. She won the "Golden Spike" Award in 2011, earned the "High Point" Award in 2013 and was the PV Most Valuable Field Event Performer in 2014.

Academically, Geena was an Academic All-NEC selection in soccer in 2011, 2012 and 2013. In basketball, she earned the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association Scholarship Society Silver Certificate in 2013 and the Gold Certificate in 2014 and was named Acaemic All-NEC in 2012, 2013 and 2014. In track, Geena earned Academic All-NEC accolades in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
