SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a senior in 2011-12, Taylor played in his fourth season of tennis. He has earned four varsity letters.
GENERAL TENNIS INFORMATION: Taylor had a solid tennis career at Baldwin-Wallace College. B-W has recorded a 88-14 record during his four seasons as a Yellow Jacket. He has appeared in 13 singles matches for a record of 6-7. Taylor has also appeared in 121 doubles matches for a record of 90-31.
As a freshman in 2008-2009, Taylor played in his first season of tennis and earned his first varsity letter. Taylor did not see any varsity singles action but compiled a 19-3 mark, including 8-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, as a No.3 doubles player primarily teamed with Alex Trzeciak. The Yellow Jackets finished the season 19-4 overall, 7-2 in the OAC and advanced to the OAC Final Four.
As a sophomore in 2009-2010, Taylor played in his second season of tennis. Taylor compiled a singles record of 0-2 but did the majority of his damage while paired with Alex Trzeciak as the No. one, two, and three doubles team. In doubles, Taylor and Alex went 20-4, and Taylor combined with Sam Burris to go 1-0. The Yellow Jackets finished 19-4 overall and 7-2 in the OAC. The team came in second place in the OAC regular season and took second at the OAC Tournament.
As a junior in 2010-11, Taylor played in his third season of tennis and earned his third varsity letter. He paired with current senior Alex Kearney as the No. 2 doubles team. The duo compiled a 20-4 record. In addition, he combined with graduated senior Sam Burris '11 for a 4-3 mark. The Yellow Jackets had a 21-5 overall and 6-3 in OAC record and lost in the semifinals of the 2011 OAC Tournament.
As a senior in 2011-12, Taylor played in his fourth season of tennis for the Yellow Jackets. In the fall portion of the season Taylor compilied a 1-0 record in singles and played No. 2 doubles with Alexander Kearney and Brad Minrovic. In doubles, Taylor and Alex went 1-0 and Taylor combined with Brad for a 4-4 record. In the spring portion of the season Taylor had a 2-2 record in singles play and a 23-9 record in doubles play for an overall record of 25-11. B-W finished their season with a 29-1 record overall, won the OAC regular season and torunament titles and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III National Tournament

Taylor was Ashland Senior's "Most Valuable Player" as a junior in 2006-2007 and his team's "Best Tournament Player" as a junior and senior. Taylor holds school records for highest doubles winning percentage in a single season and highest number of career wins.
