ACADEMIC MAJOR: Accounting

BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  As a senior in 2013-14, Steve has competed in three seasons of cross country earning three varsity letters, two seasons of indoor and outdoor track earning two varsity letters in both, and completed his second season of lacrosse and earned his second varsity letter.

CROSS COUNTRY INFORMATION:  Stephen has had a solid cross country career thus far.  He has helped BW to a 140-114 record in his first two seasons in the Brown and Gold. 

As a freshman in 2010, Stephen competed in his first season of cross country. He had one of his best races at the Calvin College Knight Invitational, finishing 133rd with a time of 29:11.30.

As a sophomore in 2011, Stephen competed in his second season of cross country. He earned his second varsity letter and had a time of 28:39.9 during the OAC Championship meet, placing 95th. Stephen also ran a season best of 19:07.27 and finished 13th during the Wooster 5k Invitational.

As a junior in 2012, Stephen will compete in his third season of cross country and will look to earn his third varsity letter.

INDOOR TRACK INFORMATION: Stephen has had a solid indoor track career thus far.  B-W carries a 78-11 record in Stephen's first two seasons for the Yellow Jackets.  He is a distance runner and competes in the 800-meter, 1000-meter, and the one-mile runs.

As a freshman in 2011, Stephen competed in his first season of indoor track. He had a season-best of 4:42.12 in the one-mile run and also earned his first varsity letter.

As a sophomore in 2012, Stephen competed in his second season of indoor track.  He set a career-best in the one mile run with a time of 4:37.89.  He also set season best times of 2:11.90 in the 800-meter run and 2:54.20 in the 1000-meter run.

As a junior in 2013, Stephen will compete in his third season of indoor track and field.  He will look to earn his third varsity letter.

OUTDOOR TRACK INFORMATION: Stephen has had a solid outdoor track career thus far.  In his time as a Yellow Jacket he has helped B-W to an overall record of 79-9.  He competes in the 800-meter, 1500-meter, and one-mile runs during the spring season.

As a freshman in 2011, Stephen competed in his first season of outdoor track. Stephen had a season-best of 2:07.05 in the 800-meter dash and 4:17.87 in the one-mile run.   

As a sophomore in 2012, Stephen competed in his second season of outdoor track.  Stephen posted a career-best in the 800-meter run when he crossed the finish line at 2:04.62.  He also posted a time of 4:20.15 in the 1500-meter run at the Coastal Carolina Meet.

GENERAL LACROSSE INFORMATION: As a junior in 2012-13, Steve completed his first season of lacrosse and earned his third varsity letter.  He appeared in all 11 games for the 6-5 Yellow Jackets during their inaugural season and scored five goals and one assist for six points, collected 12 ground balls, and caused two turnovers.  Steve scored a career-high two goals in the first game in program history, a 10-7 win against Calvin (Mich.) College on Feb. 16 at Pinnacle Soccer Complex in Medina, Ohio, and registered his first career assist in a 12-2 win at Franciscan University on April 13.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Stephen played in his second season of lacrosse and earned his second varsity letter. He played in 12 games, including one start for the 7-7 Yellow Jackets. He collected eight ground balls and caused one turnover.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Stephen Humbert grew up in Liberty Township, Ohio and graduated from Lakota East High School.  He lettered four times in cross country, twice in track and field, and also played lacrosse.
