Siler Named Head Men’s Golf Coach

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Director of Athletics Steve Thompson is pleased to announce the hiring of Scott Siler as the next head men's golf coach.

"I want to welcome Scott to the Jacket Nation and to our men's golf program," stated Thompson.  "His passion for the game as well as his extensive teaching skills will elevate our team to the top of the Ohio Athletic Conference and in Division III.  I look forward to seeing what he can do with our current student-athletes and the many new golfers that will become Yellow Jackets."

Siler comes to BW from nearby Red Tail Golf Club in Avon where he serves as as an assistant golf professional and PGA Junior League coach.

"I am honored and humbled to lead the Baldwin Wallace Golf program in a new direction. I want to thank Athletic Director Thompson and Coach Snell for the opportunity.   I can't wait to get started and become the newest member of the Yellow Jacket Nation."

In his two years at Red Tail, he has coached and mentored over 100 kids in seven different age groups for the PGA Junior League.   Siler also manages day-to-day operations at the course while also giving private lessons.  He is a PGA Level 1 Associate.

Prior to Red Tail, Siler was the assistant golf professional at Elyria Country Club from 2021-22.  He also was the third assistant golf professional at Barrington Golf Club for the 2020 season where mentored under Top 100 Golf Coach Todd Cassabella.

Siler has also served as a certified personal golf coach for GOLFTEC and a territory and demo day rep for Cobra Golf.

He earned an associate degree in golf operations and management from The Golf Academy of America in 2018.  Siler is a graduate of Brunswick High School.   While at Brunswick, he played golf and rugby.
