Andrew Bortz '23 enters his first year as the Equipment Manager at Baldwin Wallace University in 2023-24.
Bortz returned to his alma mater after serving as an Assistant Equipment Manager at the University of Akron from May 2023 to August 2023. While with the Zips, he was responsible for inventorying and sanitizing all equipment, doing laundry, and setting and tearing down for spring football practices.
Bortz earned a Bachelor of Arts in sports management last May. During his time at BW, Bortz was a three-year letterwinner at wide receiver. He appeared in 17 games and caught 12 passes for 105 yards. When not on the football field, Bortz was an equipment student-assistant for two years.
He is a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
