AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior two-time All-American distance runner Kelly Brennan (Akron/Walsh Jesuit) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

Brennan receives the honor for the fourth time in her career and the first time during an outdoor season. The junior started her weekend at the Twilight Invitational, hosted by Otterbein University, where she competed in an invitational 1-mile run called the "Columbus Cup." Brennan won the event in a time of 4:53.06, beating the runner-up by less than half a second. The converted 1-mile time currently puts her fifth in NCAA Division III in the 1,500-meter run. On Saturday, she competed in the 400-meter dash at the 50th Sparky Adams Invitational where she won in a career best 59.05 seconds.

For her career in the outdoor season, Brennan is a five-time All-Ohio performer, a four-time All-OAC performer, a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region selection, a school-record holder in the 800-meter run and an All-American in the 800.

BW will next compete in the two-day Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, hosted by Otterbein University, on Friday, April 26, beginning at 12 p.m. inside Memorial Stadium.
