Women’s Lacrosse Earns Sixth Straight IWLCA Academic Honor Squad Selection

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – For the sixth consecutive year, the Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team has been named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad while one Yellow Jacket has also landed on the 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.

Teams need to post a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher to be named as an Academic Honor Squad. BW finished the 2017-18 academic year with a team GPA of 3.083 and were one of 339 schools across Divisions I, II and III as well as the NAIA to receive the honor.

To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior or higher in class standing and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and above.

Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC attack Hannah Albrechta (Uniontown/Green) is one of 639 student-athletes from 189 different Division III institutions to land on the Academic Honor Roll. Albrechta is a psychology and studio art double major who carries a 3.84 GPA. The junior is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. In 2018, Albrechta earned her second consecutive All-OAC honor after scoring 19 goals and leading the team with a career-high tying 16 assists.

BW finished the 2018 campaign with a 7-10 overall record and a 5-3 conference record under first year head coach Nicholle St. Pierre, advancing to the OAC playoffs for the fifth straight season.
