ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Economics/ Sport Management

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Matt Koskinen played his first season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. He received a certificate of participation.

GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2014-2015, Matt attended The College of New Jersey and then transferred to BW after the fall semester. He played his first season of baseball and received a certificate of participation. Matt saw all of his action on the junior varsity team. BW set a single-seaspn school-record with 30 victories, compile a 30-20 record, finish second at the OAC Tournament, win the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region title and advance to the school's first-ever NCAA Division III College World Series.

As a sophomore in 2015-2016, Matt is playing his second season of baseball and hopes to earn his first varsity letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Matt grew up in Bridgewater, New Jersey and graduated from Bridgewater-Raritan High School.

Matt played baseball and soccer. He earned three varsity letters in baseball. In baseball, he was a two-time honorable mention All-Area selection (2012 and 2014) and earned second-team All-Skyland Athletic Conference honors in 2014.

Academically, Matt was a National Honors Society student.

BW CONNECTION:  Matt's high school baseball coach was BW graduate and Hall of Famer William "Max" Newill '98.
