ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Business/ Health & Physical Education (Coaching)

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Neal Dowling played his second season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. He earned his first varsity letter.

GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2013-2014, Neal played his first season of baseball and earned a certificate of participation. He split time between the varsity and junior varsity teams. Neal appeared in two varsity games, batted .500 (1-for-2) with one run scored. BW to win a single-season school-record 30 games, compile a 30-20 record, place second at the OAC Tournament, win the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament and advance to the school's first-ever Division III College World Series.

As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Neal played his second season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter. He played in 19 games, including one start, and batted .263 (5-for-19) with four runs batted-in (RBI). He had the game-winning and walkoff hit in the bottom of the 12th inning in a 4-3 victory against No.23-ranked Ohio Northern University on April 14, 2015. BW finished with a school-record 31 victories and a 31-12 record. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth at the OAC Tournament and advanced to their second straight NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.

As a junior in 2015-2016, Neal is playing his third season of baseball and hopes to earn his second letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Neal Dowling grew up in South Bend, Indiana and attended St. Joseph High School.  

Neal played baseball for four years and earned four leters. He also played football for four years and earned three letters. 

In baseball, Neal earned first-team All-Northern Indiana Conference honors. In football, he earned second-team All-NIC accolades.

Academically, Neal was a member of the National Honors Society and he earned five Scholar-Athlete awards.
