TR Harker

TR Harker enters his second season as an assistant volleyball coach at Baldwin Wallace University in 2023.

Prior to BW, Harker coached for 15 years at Strongsville High School and nine of those years were as the girl’s head varsity coach. During his tenure, he was voted high school Greater Cleveland Conference Coach of the Year in 2016, 2018 and 2019. 

Harker is the current club director for Southwest Volleyball club and has also coached every age from 12s to 18s for the last 20 years. He has coached 8 different teams that have qualified to play in the USA Girls Junior National Championship. In addition, Harker has coached many athletes that have gone on to play in colleges across Ohio and out of state.

Harker is a current board member on the JAB (Junior Advisory Board, Ohio Valley Region) and also works as a certified regional level official in the OVR as well as a certified Class 1 official in high school volleyball.

Harker played in high school and then on the Kent State men’s club team as a setter, and as a libero, and has been playing high level adult volleyball ever since. Harker resides with his wife in Strongsville and received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Youngstown State University and a master’s degree in business from Kent State University.
