ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Chemistry

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Amanda Getto played her first season of women's lacrosse at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. The 2015 first-team Al-Ohio Athletic Conference goalie earned her first varsity letter.

ATHLETICS HONORS:   As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Amanda earned first-team All-OAC honors and was named as the BW Most Valuable Defensive Player. She also was named as the OAC Defensive Player of the Week on April 27, 2015.

SCHOOL RECORD:  Amanda had a single-game school-record 16 saves against The College of Wooster in 2015. She owns single-season records for saves (123 in 2015) and save percentage (.480 in 2015). She owns current career marks for saves (123), save percentage (.480)

GENERAL LACROSSE INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2013-2014, Amanda did not play lacrosse due to an injury.

As a red-shirt freshman in 2014-2015, Amanda played her first season of lacrosse and earned her first varsity letter. She earned first-team All-OAC honors and was named as the BW Most Valuable Defensive Player. She also was named as the OAC Defensive Player of the Week on April 27, 2015.for her efforts in wins versus Muskingum University and at Capital University. She played and started in all 14 games and 824 minutes, faced 324 shots, including 249 on-goal, allowed 133 goals for a 9.68 goals-allowed-average with a .480 save percentage and 123 saves. Amanda had an 8-6 record. BW finished 8-6 overall and advanced to its second straight OAC Championship Game.

As a sophomore in 2015-2016, Amanda is playing her second season of lacrosse and hopes to earn her second letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Amanda Getto grew up in Medina, Ohio and graduated from Medina High School.

Amanda played in four seasons of lacrosse and earned four varsity letters. She played three years of basketball and earned three varsity letters. She also ran one season of cross country and earned a certificate of participation.

In lacrosse as a sophomore in 2010-2011, Amanda was named the Most Improved Player. As a junior in 2011-2012, she was named Most Valuable Defensive Player in.  As a senior in 2012-2013, she was named the Unsung Hero. She helped Medina H.S. to win three consecutive Division I State Championships.
