Men’s Soccer Defeated by Quakers

WILMINGTON,Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team was defeated by Wilmington College in an Ohio Athletic Conference game, 4-1, Saturday evening on Townsend Field inside of Williams Stadium.

In the 13th minute BW (4-10-2, 1-4 OAC) jumped out to a 1-0 lead when junior forward Craig Wallace (Boxford, Mass. / Tilton School) netted his fourth goal of the season. Sophomore forward Brian Sposit (Parma/Valley Forge) was credited with his first assist as a Yellow Jacket.

Wilmington (4-11, 1-4 OAC) tied the game up, 1-1, in the 24th minute when Jesse Buhrman's shot found the back of the net.

At the halfway point the Yellow Jackets outshot the Fighting Quakers six to five and the score was still knotted at one.

In the second half Wilmington scored three goals to earn the, 4-1, victory.

Senior goalkeeper Zach Haynes (Medina) made five saves for BW.

The Yellow Jackets host cross-town and OAC rival John Carroll University on Tuesday, October 21. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tressel Field inside of The George Finnie Stadium.
