As a freshman in 2011-12, Mike competed in his first season of soccer and earned his first varsity letter. Mike saw time in twelve games as a freshman and started two of those. He took five shots, four of which where on target and two of those went in for goals. Mike also contributed an assist to help B-W achieve a record of 16-6 overall.

As a junior and senior is when he received his awards as an individual. He earned All Greater Cleveland Honors following both his junior and senior years. As a junior he was named as a first team All-Conference performer. During his senior year he was once named to the 2010 player of the week by the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Michael was a two year captain where he recorded five goal and eight assists as a senior.
