Women's Soccer Shutout by Otterbein

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team fell to Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Otterbein University by a score of 4-0 at Memorial Stadium.

After a tied first half, the Yellow Jackets unfortunately fell behind when Otterbein's Cailynn Adelman scored early into the second half at 50:18 with the rest of her team following suit not long after. 

BW Leaders (8-7-1, 4-3 OAC)

  • Junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference goalkeeper Katie Scott (Lewis Center/Olentangy) had an impressive eight saves during her eighty minutes on the field 

  • Senior All-OAC forward Sydney Rice (North Royalton) had two shots 

  • Freshman midfielder Mia Fourtounis (Akron/Revere) also tallied two shots 

Otterbein Leaders (10-3-2, 6-1 OAC)

  • Senior midfielder Cailynn Adelman recorded two goals 

  • Senior defender Payton Kaufman also had a goal for the Cardinals 

  • Junior midfielder Lauren Alley scored the final goal of the game off a penalty kick 

 

The Yellow Jackets take the field again on Wednesday, October 25th when they host an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup against Ohio Northen University for their penultimate game of the regular sesason on Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium at 7 p.m
