Six Women's Soccer Student-Athletes Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Six Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer student-athletes have been selected to the 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Academic All-District Team.

In order to qualify for Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be a sophomore academically and athletically, must carry a 3.50 or higher grade point average and must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games.

Senior Academic All-OAC forward Bailey Hall (Lewis Center/Olentangy) and sophomore Academic All-OAC goalkeeper Katie Scott (Lewis Center/Olentangy) have been selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second time in their careers while senior All-OAC midfielder Jillian Neal (Fairlawn/Copley), senior Academic All-OAC midfielder Alissa Scattino (Girard/Warren John F. Kennedy), junior All-OAC defender Ella Barth (Highland/Mayfield), and sophomore forward Sydni Mudge (Birch Run, Mich.) earn the accolade for the first time in their careers. The six student-athletes now advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, which will be announced on December 20.

Hall appeared in 18 games and made one start this season while taking three shots on goal. In her career, Hall has appeared in 66 games and made nine starts scoring one goal and adding one assist for three points. She has taken 30 shots with 16 on goal. Academically, Hall has earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a neuroscience and psychology double major. She is a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference performer, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar, and a member of the hi Alpha Sigma, Alpha Kappa Delta Sociology, Nu Rho Psi Neuroscience and Pi Gamma Mu Social Sciences honoraries

Scott appeared in and made 14 starts in goal this season posting a 5-6-3 record. She was second in the OAC and led the team with a career-high 97 saves while posting a .829 save percentage. She also registered four shutouts. In her career, Scott has appeared in 47 games and made 44 starts in net. She has posted a 19-22-4 record and has been a part of 10 shutouts. She has made 266 saves and has a career save percentage of .779. Academically, Scott has a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a nursing major and is also a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.

Neal, a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, appeared in 18 games and made 16 starts this season. She is tied for fourth on the team in assists with one, and recorded one point while taking 15 shots with five on goal earning her a spot on the 2023 All-OAC Third Team. In her career, Neal has appeared in 58 games making 38 starts while scoring one goal and two assists for four points, and has taken 73 shots with 33 on goal. Academically, Neal has a 3.86 grade point average as an early childhood education major. She is also a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

Scattino appeared in 20 games and made five starts this season. She is tied for fifth on the team with a career-high two goals totaling five points taking 16 shots with six on goal. On her career, Scattino has appeared in 48 games and made five starts. She has scored four goals and added one assist for nine points. She taken 20 shots with nine on goal. Academically, Scattino carries a 3.8 grade point average as a sport management major. She is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma and Lambda Pi Eta Honor Societies.

Barth, a former Academic All-OAC selection, appeared in and started all 20 games this season. She was fourth on the team with a career-high four goals, was tied for third on the squad with a career-best three assists and was third on the team with a career-high 11 points. Barth tallied 20 shots with 12 on goal. In her career, Barth has appeared in 53 games and has made 49 starts. She has scored nine goals and added six assists for 24 points on 60 shots with 32 on goal. Academically, Barth has a 3.62 grade point average as an exercise science and spanish double major and is also a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.

Mudge appeared in 20 games and made 18 starts this season. She was tied for third on the team with a career-high five goals totaling and was fourth on the squad with a career-best 10 points. Mudge took 34 shots with 17 on goal. In her career, Mudge has appeared in 39 games and made 18 starts. She has scored seven goals for a total of 14 points. She has taken 49 shots with 23 on goal. Academically, Mudge carries a 3.91 grade point average as a chemistry major and is a Dean's List student.
