No. 7 Wrestling Falls to No. 6 Mount Union

BEREA, Ohio – The four-time defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion No. 7 Nationally-Ranked Baldwin Wallace University wrestling team dropped an OAC contest to the No. 6 nationally-ranked University of Mount Union 31-9, inside Ursprung Gymnasium, at the Lou Higgins Center.

BW (1-1 OAC) was led by freshman 125-pounder Jack Stanley (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights), who after falling behind 4-2, battled back to secure a 6-4 decision, giving BW a 3-0 start to the match.

Senior All-OAC 174-pounder Benjamin Hooff (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) seized a 7-5 decision to cut Mount Union's lead to 22-6.

No. 4 senior All-American and two-time All-OAC 197-pounder Zeckary Lehman (Akron/Revere) grabbed a 4-2 decision to trim the Purple Raider lead to 25-9.

BW will hit the mats next on Saturday December 14 at the Kalahari Duals, in Sandusky, Ohio at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center.
