ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished first of 12 teams at annual University of Mount Union Tournament at the Tannenhauf Golf Course in Allianbce. BW, 39-18-1 overall,is listed in the "Others Receiving Votes" in the Golf World / Women's Golf Coaches Association NCAA Division III national poll.
BW carded a round of 350 strokes on the par-72 and 5,900-yard Tannenhauf G.C. layout. The title was BW's second this season. The Yellow Jackets also won the 10-team The College of Wooster Tournament this fall.
BW was led by the senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference trio of Emilee Woolf (Ravenna), Miranda Cunningham (Dayton/Dayton Christian) and Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/ Darby) with 84s and sophomore Laura Vidmar (Willoughby/ South) had a 98 to make up the 350 team total. In addition, junior Jenna Andreas (Pickerington/ North), playing in her first collegiate tournament, had a 108.
BW returns to action on Saturday, March 29 when it plays in the two-day Capital University Purple & White Tournament at the Westchester Golf Course.
