BW Women’s Golfers Finish Second at Wooster Tourney

JEROMESVILLE, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished second of nine teams at The College of Wooster Spring Invitational at the Mohican Hills Golf Course. 

BW (46-19-1 overall) carded rounds of 349 and 337 strokes for a total of 686 strokes on the par-72 and 5,829-yard Monhican Hills G.C. layout.  Denison University was the team champion.

In the first round, BW was led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Emilee Woolf (Ravenna) as she fired a round six-over-par 78 and was the clubhouse leader heading into the second and final round.  Senior All-OAC players Miranda Cunningham (Dayton/ Dayton Christian) and Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/ Darby) each had rounds of 90 and sophomore Laura Vidmar (Willoughby/ South) was one stroke back with a round of 91 for the team total of 349.  In addition, junior Jenna Andreas (Pickerington/ North) had a 106.
 
In the second round, Woolf and Jones each fired 82s, Cunningham had an 83, Vidmar a 90 and Andreas a 109. Woolf finished with a 160-stroke total to rank second of 56 total players. Jones was second at 172 to rank seventh, Cunningham had a 173 to tie for eighth, Vidmar had 181 total strokes to rank tied for 22nd and Andreas' total of 215 strokes was tied for 51st.

BW returns to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 12-13 at the Laura Bump Memorial Tournament hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at the Mill Creek Golf Club in Ostrander, Ohio.
