Vaillant Named to D3hoops.Com All-Region 7 Women’s Basketball Team

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference women's basketball forward Bella Vaillant (Perrysburg) has been named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 7 Team for the first time in her career.

Vaillant, who was named to the first team as the only forward, now advances to the D3hoops.com All-America team ballot, which will be announced on March 16 at the NCAA Division III National Championship game.

This season, Vaillant appeared and started in all 29 games and led the team in rebounding and was third in the OAC with a career-best 7.9 rebounds-per-game.   She led the team in scoring with 10.0 points-per-contest.  Vaillant also recorded a career-highs in assists with 29, blocks with 11 and double-doubles with five.  She had 15 steals. Vaillant was named the All-OAC first team, OAC Player of the Week on December 11 and to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week on December 12.   For her career, Vaillant has appeared in 82 games with 57 starts.  She has recorded 651 points, 447 rebounds, 55 assists, 44 steals, 17 blocks and eight double-doubles.

BW finished the 2023-24 season with an overall record of 22-7.  The Yellow Jackets were the OAC Regular Season Champions with a record of 16-2.  BW qualified for its fifth straight and 18th career NCAA Division III Tournament and advanced to its seventh all-time Sweet 16 appearance.
