Complete 2018 All-OAC Team (.pdf)
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Two Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer student-athletes have been named to the 2018 All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.
Junior forward Danny Ruple (Berea/Berea-Midpark) was selected to the first team while freshman defender Trevor Hamm (Strongsville) landed on the second team.
Ruple earns his third career All-OAC honor and his second-straight first-team nod after being among the conference leaders yet again. At the end of the regular season, his team-leading 14 goals, 10 assists and 38 points ranked him third in goals and second in assists and points, respectively. Ruple broke two school records during the course of the season – single season shots with 85 and career points with 105 – in addition to the two single-season records he holds from 2017. For his career, he has appeared in all 57 games with 56 starts and has recorded 41 goals, 23 assists and 105 points. The accounting major, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American will receive his third varsity letter this fall.
Hamm garners his first career accolade after a solid freshman campaign. He appeared in and started all 19 games on defense and took two shots on the offensive end. As part of a back line that featured two seniors and two freshman, Hamm stepped up and made big stops when necessary. The finance major will earn his first varsity letter this fall.
BW finished the 2018 season with a 7-10-2 overall record and a 2-6-1 mark in the OAC.
