New Head Coach to Guide Women's Tennis

BEREA, Ohio –  Under the direction of first year head coach Dean Morse '03, the Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team will look to climb the Ohio Athletic Conference ladder in the 2018-19 campaign with a roster laden with returning players.

Heading into his first year at the helm, Morse will have five returning letterwinners, two All-OAC performers that posted an overall 11-10 record and an even 4-4 conference record. Morse went on to add, "Our girls have been working very hard and are ready for the first action this year. Hopefully we can come back home with a couple hard fought wins to start the season. I'm excited to see how far this team can go this year! We will be looking for our seniors to start us off in the right direction and the underclassmen can follow their lead".

The two seniors of two-time All-OAC selection Imani Robinson (Cincinnati/School for Creative & Performing Arts) and Kathleen Moser (Strongsville) will provide leadership to the team. Robinson returns after compiling a 14-8 doubles record, including 13-6 at the number one spot, and an honorable mention selection this past season. Moser completed her junior season with a 1-4 singles record and a 6-8 doubles record.

Highlighting the sophomores is Jayde Robinson (Cincinnati/School for Creative & Performing Arts) who earned an All-OAC second team selection after an 8-11 singles record and a team-best 15-9 doubles record. Ashtyn Morris (Salem) returns after posting a 10-10 singles record alongside a 12-10 doubles record as well. Rounding out the sophomores is Becca Liebler (Medina) returns after an impressive 11-8 singles record and earning her first varsity letter in her freshman season.

Jayde Robinson will miss the fall portion of the schedule due to an injury and will return in the spring.

BW will start their season by traveling to Meadville, Pennsylvania for the Nancy and Harvey Heath Gator Invitational with their first matches on Saturday 22. First match will start at 9 a.m against host Allegheny College.
