BEREA, Ohio – Two Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer players have been recognized by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) for their efforts both on the field and in the classroom in 2018.

Senior United Soccer Coaches All-American forward Rachel Bender (Massillon/Jackson) was selected to both the All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio first teams. Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder Kayla Webb (Brunswick) landed on the All-Ohio third team.

Bender lands on the fourth All-Ohio and third Academic All-Ohio team of her stellar career. On the field, the senior led both the Yellow Jackets and the OAC in most offensive categories once again with her 143 shots, 16 assists and 44 points topping the conference standings while her team-leading 14 goals tied for third in the OAC. Bender capped off her four-year career with 60 goals, 37 assists, 157 points and 18 game-winning goals. She will graduate with the school's single-season and career assist records and will finish second all-time in career goals and career points scored.

Academically, Bender is a three-time Academic All-OAC selection, a three-time Academic All-District 7 honoree, a two-time College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud Academic All-America selection and a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America honoree.

Webb earns her first All-Ohio honor after also being selected to her first All-OAC team. In just her second collegiate season, she posted career-high numbers of five goals and 10 points to finish second and third on the team, respectively. In her career, Webb has appeared in all 38 games with 24 starts and has scored seven goals for 14 points.

BW finished the 2018 campaign with an 11-7-1 record and a 5-4 mark in the conference, advancing to the OAC Tournament for the sixth consecutive season.
