WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio -The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team wrapped up its 2023 season with a seventh-place finish at the three-day Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by the University of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course. 

BW finished seventh of nine teams with 1,566 strokes on the par-73 and 5,811-yard River Greens layout. Otterbein University was the champion with 1,263 strokes.

The top five leading BW:

• Sophomore Brooke Newsome (Clyde) placed 19th with rounds of 94, 85, 94, 97 for a total of 370
• Freshman Alana Smith (Fremont / Ross) placed for 22nd place while carding rounds of 92, 99, 92, 90 for a total of 373
• Sophomore Hannah Ogden (Poland/Poland Seminary) tied for 29th place and tallied rounds of 93, 100, 90, and 101 for a total of 384
• Junior Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) placed 42nd with rounds of 110, 113, 114, and 105 for a total of 442
• Senior Kaitlynn Olak (Norwalk / St. Paul) placed 43rd place and carded rounds of 108, 117, 113 and 107 for a total of 445.
