With its loss, BW ends its season at 18-8 overall. The Yellow Jackets were led by freshman guard Jessica Lairson (Louisville) with 13 points.
With her eight points tonight, senior All-OAC guard Amanda Schroeder (Columbus Grove) ends her career with 1,372 career points to rank third all-time, just seven points shy of second place.
In the second half, the Blue Streaks opened on a quick 8-3 run with to give them an 36-24 advantage with 18:35 remaining. After the teams exchanged a couple of baskets, BW was able to cut the deficit to five, 46-41, when sophomore guard Olivia French (Bucyrus/Colonel Crawford) hit a trey with 11:23 remaining.
The winner of Thursday's semifinal game will advance to the 2011 OAC Championship Game on Saturday, Feb. 26 at the site of the highest remaining seeded team.
